A design enthusiast, there’s always “madness to his method”, he says. He has collaborated with top Indian and international directors and has more than 400 commercials under his belt since 2025. Kotwal won GOLD at the GoodAdsMatter Awards 2025, which has further strengthened his already strong credibility in the Indian advertising industry.
Kotwal's understanding of design, concept and structural development is known to be remarkable, and is exceedingly evident across all his previous endeavours.
Starting of as an Interior Designer & an Advertising graduate, the foundation had already been laid, today along with being a Production Designer, Kotwal also founded, teaches & runs THE SCHOOL OF THOUGHT (Institute for Production Design & Exhibition Designs) one of its kind, which laid its foundation in 2017, he has also been a guest lecturer at LS Raheja School of Architecture & conducted orientation programs for architecture & interior design students across various colleges in Mumbai, imparting education in the field of design had always been on the cards, he states.
