Howdy! My name is Arianna Shining Star (real name, I promise!) I am a colorist for feature films, television, commercials, and music videos. I collaborate with creatives locally in sunny Santa Monica and across the globe through virtual colour sessions. It’s easy to convince me into a travel colour job too - just tell me about a must-go restaurant in the local area and I’m on the plane!

I’ve graded global campaigns with the world’s leading agencies including 72 & Sunny, Deutsch, Anomaly, Mother, Ogilvy, Wieden+Kennedy, TBWA\Chiat\Day and Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

I’ve been fortunate to live out my MTV Behind the Video dreams and bring a creative eye to VMA celebrated music videos for Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber, among others.

My longform colour grading includes features and television for AppleTV+, HBO, Netflix and Hulu. My narrative work has also premiered at film festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, Santa Barbara and Cameraimage. 

Passionate about colour grading as the synergy of fine art and storytelling, I draw from my background in painting and psychology to inspire my work in the colour suite. Ask me about my past life in criminal neuroscience - I’ll talk your ear off all about it!

When I’m not colouring, I spend my time with my snuggly twin babies! You can also find me exploring Los Angeles, on a mission to find new running routes with the best ocean views and tinkering in the kitchen, attempting anything from scratch-made croissants to a Gordon Ramsay-approved beef wellington.

With Northern California roots, my middle name comes from my wonderfully rad hippie parents who met at a Grateful Dead concert during the song “Shining Star.”
