Miranda Romero is a sustainability leader with over 15 years of experience across the audiovisual, production and events industries. She is the CEO & Founder of Brotes, a Mexican company where she leads strategic growth, regenerative initiatives and sustainability-driven projects with positive environmental and social impact across the creative industries, with a strong focus on decarbonisation in film production.
Romero has spearheaded innovative programmes such as the implementation of Sustainability Officers on film sets, the oversight of sustainability policies for major productions and the development of decarbonisation strategies for film and content creation, focusing on emissions reduction, responsible resource management and recycling traceability. She serves on the Advisory Board of Green the Bid and has contributed to industry education and training in sustainable production in collaboration with international organisations.
In parallel, Romero is a recognised sustainability champion driving the transformation of the Mexican film industry towards a more human, equitable and sustainable model. Through sustained hands-on work, conferences, training programmes, operational proposals and policy advocacy, she actively supports systemic change across the sector.
Certified and trained by MIT, AdGreen, Albert and the United Nations Global Compact, Romero brings a practical, forward-thinking approach to embedding sustainability across production, hospitality and event ecosystems.
