MarkSnelgrove

Production Designer, Snelgrove Design Group

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Mark Snelgrove moved to Los Angeles to pursue an education in architecture and film. After his graduation from Otis College, he engaged in multiple career paths. Working with 16mm film loops and live video projection VJing took him to New York, Amsterdam and Zurich for projects, but his pursuit of art direction eventually gained the most traction. Snelgrove’s earliest credits were with the likes of Roman Coppola and Spike Jonze.

Snelgrove would go on to collaborate with Matt Piedmont on the Sundance award-winning shot Brick Novax’s Diary, as well as the IFC series The Spoils of Babylon and The Spoils Before Dying. Snelgrove’s most recent work can be seen in GEICO spots by Maggie Carey and Dr Pepper’s Fansville campaign, directed by Jonathan Krisel.

Snelgrove’s love of design and cinema shines in his commercial projects. ‘To have the opportunity to work with amazing directors and DPs, with the support of trusting producers at A-plus production companies, all fed by the super creative work from terrific ad agencies, makes my work life a joy each and every day.’
