Joel Simon is CEO and CCO of JSM a global commercial music production leader for the world's most influential and compelling brands. Located in its beautiful 10,000 sq. foot facilities in NYC’s Financial District, JSM is one of the world’s most comprehensive recording and creative resources boasting a full staff of composers, arrangers and producers. Embracing new ideas and technologies, with the goal of working towards powerful creative and quantifiable solutions for its clients, JSM has always taken the creative roads less traveled and paved the way in musical equities and sonic branding.
Led by Simon, JSM has become the world’s most awarded music production company. Their collaborations have been awarded 82 Cannes Lions, with 29 added in 2019, including several coveted Titanium, Grand Prix, Glass & Integrated. Additionally, dozens of Clio’s, The 2016 Super Clio, 22 AICP, 26 Addy’s, Andys, One Show Pencils, LIA statues, Webbys, D&AD Pencil, Gerety, Epica, Effies, New York Festivals and AMP Awards. As of Super Bowl LIV, JSM has created the music for 32 Super Bowl commercials.
A Cornell University graduate and 2007 Crain’s Business 40Under40 honoree, Simon has judged work and chaired juries for the global advertising and music industries; Cannes, Clio, Webby, Advertising Week, Billboard Music Conferences, LIA, Music + Sound and The AICP.
