Katie Mackin built her craft at the world's leading animation and VFX houses across London, New York and Cape Town before returning home to launch Passion Pictures Melbourne in 2015. In 2019 she founded Unlisted, a design-led production studio now operating across Melbourne and Shanghai, specialising in animation, stylised live action and mixed media.
Over a career driven by a deep love of animation and the artistic possibilities of the craft, Mackin has had the privilege of creating alongside some of the world's most inventive talent - delivering work for the biggest brands and best agencies, recognised at AEAF, Cannes Lions, Clios, Spikes, Ciclope, One Show, Adfest, Shots and beyond.
A passionate talent advocate, Mackin is known for scouting and nurturing emerging directors, lecturing at university level, and championing Chinese creative talent - curating a roster of the best Chinese directors from around the globe.
Mackin is a regular juror and speaker at leading industry awards shows and events globally.
