After studying Cinema & Photography at the University of Leeds, Ellen Crane began her career assisting the director Chris Sweeney, before spending six years at OB Management as a Director’s Rep.
During this time, she trained as a Childline Counsellor, which led to her joining the NSPCC & Childline as Celebrity Partnerships Manager, where she helped manage the charity’s roster of Ambassadors and Campaigners.
In 2022, she joined Merman as Head of Sales, representing the production company's roster of award-winning filmmakers and identifying new opportunities across advertising.
Crane has been fascinated by the power of storytelling for as long as she can remember. She used to freelance as a Script Reader for BBC Film and founded Seed, a publication supporting emerging writers. She continues to develop screenplays and write in her spare time.
