Production Designer, Freelance
Born in Barcelona, Jose Tirado lives between Italy and Spain. He has worked internationally as a Production Designer since 2013, across feature films, commercials, fashion and music videos.
Tirado started his career at the production company CANADA, where he discovered his passion for music videos. Since then, he has worked on more than 40 music videos for artists including Rosalía, The Weeknd, Jung Kook, Shakira, Maluma, Bad Gyal, Cut Copy and Bomba Estéreo, among many others.
More recently, he has worked on several major international productions for Netflix, as well as on THE BELOVED, starring Javier Bardem, which premiered in the Official Selection at the most recent editions of the Cannes and Toronto International Film Festivals.
His work has been recognised with the Award for Best Production Designer in Feature Film at the Ischia Film Festival and Best Production Designer in Commercial at the APCP Awards. He was also nominated for a Goya Award for AS BESTAS (THE BEASTS, by Rodrigo Sorogoyen), and has received nominations at some of the most prestigious international advertising festivals, including shots, UKMVA, AICP, Ciclope, Gerety, Cresta, Epica, El Ojo and Le Club des Directeurs Artistiques.
