Director & Creative Director, Zauberberg Productions
Marta Carbonell Amela is a Berlin-based Director & Creative Director, represented in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) by Zauberberg Productions since 2023.
Originally from Barcelona, she spent over a decade in London working across art direction, animation and VFX. With more than fifteen years of experience in advertising, including at The Mill in London and Berlin and later at Psyop, she has collaborated with directors, agencies and production companies on numerous international productions.
Working closely with filmmakers across all stages of production naturally led her towards directing. Alongside her own directing work, Marta has worked as Creative Director, Animation Director and Co-Director, shaping the visual language, narrative, rhythm and tone of films. Her work includes the multi-award-winning Samsung The Spider, several LEGO films, like Holidays and Girls, and a range of live-action and animation projects.
Her multidisciplinary background continues to shape a directing approach rooted in emotion, atmosphere and cinematic storytelling.
